Being one of the world’s finest dive liveaboards, Pelagian was originally built to very high standards as an ocean-cruising personal yacht. With its gracious luxury, ease and spaciousness, she is now part of the Wakatobi family. Passengers on the newly refurbished Pelagian enjoy and revel in the luxuries of superb cuisine, guest centered service and a smooth quiet ride. With a maximum of only 12 guests on this 115′ (36m) yacht there are several large, comfortable common areas for guests to enjoy. Pelagian offers seven, ten or eleven night trips with unique combination of stunning reefs and rarely seen muck diving sites.
Guests also extend their stay in Wakatobi Dive Resort therefore enjoying the best of both worlds. The newly remodeled Wakatobi dive yacht, Pelagian, is like a floating tropical boutique hotel with ever-changing top-side and UW vistas. All of the cabins have been masterfully-designed for comfort and aesthetics. Spacious floor plans, luxurious bathrooms and modern decor create relaxing environments for guests. With a maximum of ten guests, Pelagian offers more space per guest than any dive yacht of its kind. All interior spaces are air conditioned and each cabin has its own temperature control. Guests enjoy an unlimited hot and cold water supply and fresh towels daily.

Onboard cuisine is prepared to the same high standard as of the resort, as our chefs take turns between Pelagian and Wakatobi. Careful planning and preparation go into each and every breakfast, lunch, dinner, and between-meal snacks on the Pelagian. Only the freshest ingredients are used and special attention to presentation make eating a delight to the eye — as well as the stomach. Pelagian’s galley has been completely remodeled and updated with professional-grade restaurant equipment. This allows the chef and his staff to create the finest gourmet meals for guests. Fine wines are available with meals. They can even have your favorite wine on board with adequate, advance notice. They are also happy to accommodate guests’ special dietary needs.
Pelagian provides a level of comfort rarely afforded to dive travelers. With Wakatobi Dive Resort and air charter serving the vessel’s support platform, you avoid unreliable domestic air connections and long transitions through the waves.

THE SUPERLUX CABINS
The Superlux Cabins offer fresh, bright spa-like environments for guests. From the spacious floor plan, to the wall art and the smallest decor details, these cabins evoke a feeling of tranquility and restfulness. Both of these cabins feature a walk-around, queen-size bed and separate daybed. No need to climb over your partner in the middle of the night to reach the bathroom or in search for a drink! Hanging, bedside tables and large drawers under the beds offer guests ample space to store personal items. Adjustable, high-intensity reading lights hang from the headboards for convenient night-time reading. Spaciousness extends into the beautiful bathrooms featuring a glass shower area, a big vanity with spa-like fixtures and great lighting. These cabins are air conditioned with private controls.
Location: Both of these cabins are located forward of the main salon and down a flight of stairs. They both have several portholes that let in ample daylight.

MASTER SUITE
The beautiful master suite offers all the comforts of home and is the largest cabin available on any dive boat that we know of. A queen-sized, spring-mattress bed offers relaxing and restful sleep. A spacious lounge with a love seat and chair provide the perfect place to watch videos, listen to music, read, or work on your laptop — in total privacy. The bathroom features a separate shower, a long vanity with a large adjustable mirror, and, of course, a toilet. There is also a separate little beauty room in the front of the cabin that can also double as a work space, if needed. The full, cabin-length shelf on the port side provide lots of storage space for cameras and personal belongings. This cabin, like all others, is air conditioned with private control.
Location: Conveniently situated at the center of the boat on the main deck level. That means quick access from any place on the yacht with no access staircase to ascend/descend.

DELUXE CABIN # 2
The efficient layout of the deluxe cabin creates the perfect accommodations for dive buddies looking for their own space. This cabin features two beds; one wide enough for two people, the other accommodates one person. Built-in drawers and a small loveseat provide a place to sit, read, and maintain your dive log or work on your laptop. This cabin also has a newly-remodeled bathroom with shower and toilet. Air conditioned with private control. Location: Located at the stern of the yacht, this popular cabin has its own staircase accessed directly from the main salon. Standard Cabin # 6 This is another efficient cabin choice for divers needing less spacious accommodations. The standard cabin features two, single beds arranged opposite each other. One bed is elevated with port holes by the waterline for nice views of the ocean. The other is standard bed height. Built-in storage below the elevated bed provides place for stowing personal items. This cabin also has a newly-remodeled bathroom with shower and toilet and is air-conditioned with private control.

The spacious dive deck is replete with hot water showers and after every dive the staff are standing by with fresh warm towels and a beverage of your choice. The vessel is manned by an experienced, international crew and is meticulously maintained – with your safety and comfort foremost in mind. Two custom made 18ft rigid hull infaltable (RIB) dive tenders used for all diving are equipped with dual outboards, tank racks and secure stainless steel boarding ladders, making them easy to enter and exit.
We recommend that guests bring their own equipment so they’re completely familiar and comfortable with its operation. The basic diving equipment recommended is a regulator, depth and pressure gauge, watch or dive computer, buoyancy compensation device, mask, fins and snorkel. However, dive equipment is available for rental. Please contact us before your trip to verify your requirements. We recommend you to bring a 5 mm (1/4″) full-body suit but some guests are even comfortable in only 3mm(3/16″) shorties. It is all up to what you are used to diving with, just keep in mind that it is nice to be warm. Cylinders are available with INT and DIN valves.
The Pelagian is fitted with a Nitrox Technologies membrane system, Mattei low pressure compressors and Bauer high pressure compressors. Pelagian accommodates only twelve guests and have two dive guides.

The Indo-Pacific region is considered a biodiversity hot spot, benefiting from the currents and nutrients transported between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Within that area, the Wakatobi region is near the epicenter of coral reef biodiversity. The hundreds of kilometers of reef structure in the Wakatobi National Marine Park provide every imaginable marine animal, including whales, dolphins, sharks, rays, tunas, barracudas, marlin and more. The area is teeming with hundreds, if not thousands of different fish species. For instance, Les Kaufman, Professor of Biology at the Boston University Marine Program & Center for Ecology and Conservation Biology, counted 301 fish species on a 100 minute dive at Wakatobi Dive Resort’s house reef in 2004. For photographers, this means wide-angle, normal and macro opportunities abound.
The Wakatobi region is blessed with abundant marine life and dive sites that have both deep and shallow ares. This allows for long bottom times on most dives. Divers can enjoy 70 minute bottom times or more if they choose. The Pelagian crew do not mandate that divers surface after 60 minutes. You may stay down as long as your air supply or safe diving limits allow. Generally, however, a group of divers on a boat may agree to surface after a suggested time limit so that other divers on the boat do not have to wait for long periods. On Pelagian there is a night dive scheduled on all regular diving days. There are daily four dives offered: two morning, one afternoon and one night dive. All dives may be adjusted as needed to compensate for tides, weather and other conditions allow it.
The water temperatures in the area remain a cool 26-28 °C (79-82°F) and there are still healthy cooler currents refreshing the reefs continually.
